Corporate Social Responsibility
At US cold we believe that CSR plays a crucial role in the success of our company and that the workplace can provide an opportunity for meaningful success beyond doing a job well by offering ways to make the world a better place.
That's why we have pledged to be a good corporate citizen by serving and protecting our employees, customers, and community through our ColdCrew Cares CSR platform.
Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility has become more intentional in giving and investing in partnerships in the communities where our employees live and work. We have encouraged employees to become active participants in giving, helping, and raising awareness to causes meaningful to them.
Our future state will be more intentional as we collaboratively work towards Zero Food Waste by partnering with organizations who share this goal. We embrace a business model that inspires us to be more socially responsible, do good, and drive impact.
2024 Connect for a Cause Campaign
Connect for a Cause is a company campaign that raises awareness and funds for regionally selected non-profits to connect all USCS employees through the shared experience of making a positive impact.
Since its start in 2021, we’ve raised more than $670,000 thanks to your dedication and generosity. Your contributions make the communities in which we live and work stronger! We’re not just raising funds or awareness, we’re investing in the future.
This year our regions are proud to support the following organizations:
In Camden, we are supporting the Alzheimer's Association
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Vision: A world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia®
Mission: The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
The Alzheimer’s Association works on a national and local level to provide care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research, the Association is committed to advancing vital research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

In the southeast, we are supporting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation
On September 11, 2001, Stephen Siller, who was assigned to Brooklyn’s Squad 1, had just finished his shift and was on his way to play golf with his brothers when he got word over his scanner of a plane hitting the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Upon hearing the news, Stephen called his wife Sally and asked her to tell his brothers he would catch up with them later. He returned to Squad 1 to get his gear.
Stephen drove his truck to the entrance of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, but it had already been closed for security purposes. Determined to carry out his duty, he strapped 60 lbs. of gear to his back, and raced on foot through the tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he gave up his life while saving others.

In the western region, we are supporting the Valley Children's Healthcare
Seventy years ago, Valley Children’s Healthcare began as the vision of five civic-minded women who saw the need for a dedicated pediatric hospital in Central California.
Since then, they’ve grown from a 42-bed hospital to one of the largest pediatric healthcare networks in the country.
Valley Children’s recognizes that children aren’t simply little adults, and that having a sick child impacts the entire family. At Valley Children’s, they’re dedicated to family-centered care: tending to the unique physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of the children and families they serve.
In Utah, we are supporting the Utah Parent Center
The Utah Parent Center, a 501c3 non-profit, is an award-winning training and information center founded in 1983 by parents of children and youth with all disabilities to help other parents facing similar challenges throughout Utah.
The caring and competent staff of the UPC utilizes a proven, effective parent-to-parent model to help many thousands of parents annually. They also represent families in many systems level activities.
The UPC staff have built collaborative networks with education, health and human service professionals, agencies and organizations. The Center promotes change within community through various projects and activities.
The UPC is founded on the philosophy that parents are full partners in the decision-making processes that direct their child’s care and programs and, as such, can provide significant support to other parents in similar circumstances. Services of the Utah Parent Center are typically free. One-on-one consultations, workshops and presentations for parents are free.
In the southwest, we are supporting St. Jude Children's Hospital
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Our researchers and doctors work together to turn laboratory breakthroughs into lifesaving treatments for children from across the United States and around the world.
And with your support, St. Jude can provide cutting-edge treatments at no cost to families — so they can focus on helping their child live.
